Yes there have been. Also tests with animals, for which there is no chance of a placebo effect. I cannot cite at this moment the studies, but my medical clinic, MD's & MO's, are also trained in accupuncture and use it regularly. It is also being used with stroke patients.

I'd really love to see those reports, I am all about medicinal techniques that aren't simply pumping more drugs into our systems. I've just never seen any proof that they are nothing more than placebos.
