Thanks PF. Specifically to this point, we were considering having a reserved class, where we hire the boat and instructor privately. BWSS does that; and it's between the cost of 3 and 4 students. We would do the wife and I, and one or two of the adult kids. Then we would be sure of the other student's compatibility.

I don't want anyone to think that I had a bad experience at BWSS. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I think the Capt. was a good guy, but the amount of wind that we were dealing with (especially the first night) added a level of stress for him that made him a bit short tempered. Who knows, I might have been the same way with a guy like me. After all, it was the side of the bridle that I rigged that went BANG and let go at about 3am.

I don't really care about all that anyway. I was there to learn, not for the hugs.

I had a good experience with BWSS and Colgates Offshore has a great reputation as well. I always think that the make-up of the class is the biggest crap shoot, and you seem to have the answer to that with the private group. Just make certain that you take a kid you get along with, because a boat can be a small place.

Alex's offer is the best, it he can get the wind in Portugal to blow for you.

Ain't that the truth!!! One of the Three, (kids, that is) otherwise I'd just do it with the wife and I.
