Multihull sailing lessons in MA

Does anyone know of anybody who does multihull sailing lessons in MA ?

My wife & I would like to take some lessons this summer, on a cruising-size multihull (not a hobie!), prior to purchasing something - both to learn, and to spend some time fooling around on a boat so I don't go insane from prepurchase anticipation.

There aren't that that many multihulls up in this area, at least charter or school-based ones... due to the nature of the waters here. Most of the multihulls up here, that I know of, are privately owned. Most of the school and charter multihulls that I know of are much further south.

ASA offers a Catamaran Course, I think it is ASA114. The problem you will find is most of the schools do not have Catamarans and therefore don't offer that particular course. I just checked a couple of ASA schools in MA and did not find any with the course.

You might look at how far you are willing to travel and check ASA schools within your circle. There are course prerequisites to taking the Cat course as well. You may find something in Lake Erie, and I know it is offered in Michigan at BBYC.

Come on here, step out and help a convert to your side! We always need crew and it's always fun to be the expert, so I would think a case of your favorite beer per afternoon could leave everybody delighted. What better place to learn than Buzzards Bay, just the cat's meow!!

In fact maybe some of us other locals might be willing to jump on board to help manage the beer supply, plus see what that odd-looking boat can actually do.
