Where can I get certified or find out where I can get certified?

I'm from Long Island NY, and I want to get certified for sailing. I've already completed the US Power Squadrons Boating Course, but I don't know if that counts as anything. Anyway, I want it for a summer job at a camp, but not to mention, it would also be fun. If anyone has information about Canoeing certification too it woud be greatly appreciated. Thank You

I always preferred Fenders myself ....... Any sailing school will do that for you. Try google, long Island+Asa sailing schools. Good luck.

If you're looking to teach sailing at a club on Long Island Sound, you will want to get US Sailing certification. Check their website: US SAILING Training Programs
They offer weekend sessions for training camp counselors as well as full-fledged sailing instructors from now until June.
