The Garmin chart plotter is worth every penny, just don't disregard the ol' paper chart. A person can get to trust them too much. The marina info they can supply is one of there best features, if you find yourself out there a nd need so local info in a hurry, like if you see a really bad storm coming your way and yopu need the local info for a safe spot to ride it out.
