Looking to sail in CT

Hi guys (and gals),

I want to take my first steps toward my long term plans of getting a sailboat, but first, I need to get on the water to learn the tricks and see different boat models. It can be either racing or just casual sailing. So if any of you needs a hand one of those days, I will be happy to join you. However I must warn you that my sailing experiences is limited to sailing with my dad on a lake aboard his 20 footer many years ago, so go easy on me .

Thanks in advance.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Nucleus,

Welcome aboard. Where in CT do you live? I'm out of Milford Harbor.

I live in West Hartford, not bad of a drive to Milford (I think?). Thanks for the reply. I am ready to crew (or at least fetch your drinks and such) on weekend whenever its best for you!

You're right, but this has been a bad year sailing for me. between work and house project I hadn't much time to sail. I might get one more week end in.
