Not that I'm an expert but it seems like you've got a good plan. A trailer-able deal with a swing keel will save you on haul-outs and get you good practice in going aground with little consequence. My dad and I learned on an Aquarius 21, it was no race winner but we had fun. I think you'll be happy and I wish you luck.
