re: Hespar get-go

I observed some clever "get-go". This certain sailor, (no crew)I wish that I would have known his name. I think his boat was "Nuku" at American Falls, Idaho. Before he untied the dock lines he raised his jib and cleated it to port-back winding it. The wind coming over his bow-slightly to port. Also he moved his rudder hard to starboard. With no engine running he released all dock lines and slowly started to drift backwards out of the slip. He then sat down at the helm. As the bow drifted to port the jib filled, without trimming, and he sailed away like he knew what he was doing. I'm sure any experienced sailor could do as well, never the less, it was fun to watch.
