2 questions, simple for all but me

Yup... a trimaran.

I generally don't recommend tying the nettles off (the lines passing through the grommets along the reef in a sail), as if you forget that they're tied off and try to hoist the main, you can end up tearing the main along the dotted line...

carl, mine came last week and I'm into the second reading. Seidman makes everything so understandable, great book.

I finally got to rig the Bucc yesterday, in the driveway without the main up, and boy howdy!!!!....did a lot of stuff I've been reading become instantly clear! Of course with that came more questions.....more of a learning curve here than with fly fishing.

It shortens up considerably.

People also tend to look at you funny when you sail by wearing hipwaders.

Actually, it isn't too bad when you have a boat 18' wide to cast from. The ama decks are very good casting platforms.
