Michele and Mathew-I live in NYC and have been renting Sunfish on Long Island near public transportation, if you guys are interested in sailing sometime be in touch

Hi Michele-There's definitely a couple places that are still open in the fall, there's the Dinghy Shop in Amityville (I think they only have one Sunfish and a Hunter 140 that they rent out but I could be wrong)...also there's the Waterfront Center in Oyster Bay with plenty of Sunfish, which is the closest place to NYC I've found to rent one and it's right near the train station. In order to rent at the Waterfront Center you need to set up a check-out test with one of their instructors, I haven't done that yet but I took a couple lessons there. Maybe we could head there sometime and get checked out.
