My wife and I are looking into taking sailing lessons and would like any feedback or recommendations for any teachers/schools in northwest florida. Thanks for any help.

I won't be of much help, as wifey and I settled on a school in St. Petersburg. But in our search, we found this one. A decent amount of information on their website, and they did get back to us via email (unlike many others).

Emerald Coast Yachts

Here's another link with some ideas:

Florida Sailing Schools

We're signed up with SmarterSail in St. Pete. We start class in mid-June. I may try to post about our experience blogger-style somewhere on this forum.

Where exactly in NW Florida are you looking?
If you will be in the Pensacola area I like Lanier Sailing Academy, they are right in the historic district. Beutiful area and the owners, John and Cathy, are wonderful people and very good teachers.
