Don't ever do this!! As long as some of the boat projects I've seen around here take, you'll never get in the water.

Go with the beer angle.

Heh-heh.

Just saw this. I'm willing to take you out for a few training sails. I live in Edgewater, near to Annapolis. I sent you a PM.

It worked for me back in college.

Oh man. I've got a few projects backed up that require a stronger back than I have - stowing sail and repacking a deep locker. I'd be grateful for a hand and can offer up a sail and an intro at Eastport Yacht Club to find other rides for racing or daysails. PM me a phone number or e-mail address and we'll see what we can work out.

I'm in Annapolis on Back Creek near the Post Office.

On a side note to this post. I have had two dock walkers recently stop by to visit in the early evening while I was putting the boat up. Both times I offered to take them and their spouses out for a sail on the bay the coming weekend and both times they were no shows.

The point I am making is that if you are offered a sail, and make plans to meet, do have the courtesy to show up at the agreed time. It is a matter of manners and the no-shows make me hesitate to extend the offers in the future.

I do readily take dock walkers out to sail the local bay and am happy to do so. I love sailing and enjoy introducing others to it.

I also have to whole heartedly agree with smackdaddy, if I can get a willing helper to work I aint lettin' you go, 'specially if you got skills. P.S I prefer my diet coke ice cold.

Do you live in Severna Park? Looks like that. Anyhow, Round Bay Sailing Club has WED night and Sunday beer can races. Check the web site and see if someone will take you out. Racing is casual and most have patience for casual instruction. I am a newby to the club and take my J out whenever I can. Drop me a line if you want to check it out.
