We kept pulling the main in to heel more so we could test how quickly a boat will right when the main is let out. Damn fast - just enough time for us to react. That was a great learning moment!
When I first started sailing a dinghy, that is just what made me start to feel like I was in command of the boat. With a fresh breeze, use various controls to put the boat at the angle of heel you select.
