Just put an offer in on my first Sailboat, link to pics

I just put an offer in on an American Spirit 23, I looked at Catalina and O'Day 22's, but greatly prefer this design.

The seller listed it at 2600.00, I whittled him down to 2150.00 and he is going to sail the boat 3 hours away to deliver it to me, of course i'll be riding along.

What do you guys think?

I will be giving this boat a complete buff and detail job ASAP

I think you got a great deal there for the boat. We are also on the hunt. Congrats and have fun.

Congrats! She looks like a nice one. Not sure if you have cabin cushions but if not, an idea for a quick economical fix is to use outdoor lounge chair cushions which can be found at any home depot and many other places.

Congratulations on your new boat. May you enjoy putting many miles under the keel. Remember to take notes on any comments the seller may make about the boat as you sail her to her new home.

Minnewaska will become famous soon enough
Congratulations!! Enjoy that passage, that's a great way to get to know her with someone who can make the introduction.

Jeanneau 54DS

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.
