Looking for sailing partners in Denver, CO, USA

I've been sailing for two years and am anxious to find some folks in Denver, CO with experience to sail with. I maintain a membership with the Victoria Sailing School's Why Buy Club - which gives me access to J22s at Cherry Creek Reservoir, not too far from my home. They have three J22s there, but my best friend who sails doesn't live here and the club here doesn't have an active message board with members/class graduates.

They have three roughly four-hour slots per day and I usually try to go once a weekend. I'm interesting in folks with enough experience we can hopefully learn from each other - I'm anxious to try various maneuvers with another hand.

I'm 44, don't live in my parent's basement, and work in IT; for whatever that's worth ;-)

Hi - I live in Monument and have been looking to get back into sailing. I grew up sailing on my Dad's Sea Sprite in Long Island sound for many years, but except for a couple of days on a Sunfish it's been 30 years

Joel, Dan, have you been to the Rocky Mountain Sailing (rmsail.org) web site? It's the regional sailing organization that coordinates activity between sailing and yacht clubs, racing fleets, and so on, in your area. It has a bunch of links on its web page to those groups and has people who might be able to point you to sailing opportunities.

A little off topic.... I went to school at DU and used to windsurf at Cherry Creek all the time. Cold as F but needed a fix once in awhile. Didn't even know or ever remember seeing boats there.

Maybe a bit back on topic.... check, or list at the local colleges. I'm sure you'll find someone, I would have jumped at the opportunity.
