SJ34 is on a distinguished road
We have a Daisy Staysail that we fly from a fitting in the foredeck. It is 45% of the J and is hoisted by a sheave about 2/3 up the mast.

It's worth half to 3/4 knot of boat speed in winds up to 10 knots but really does it's magic in wind speeds below 5 knots.
