flying scots and peers

I live in N.E. Florida and recently took a beginner sailing course in a flying scot. The rest of the summer I have spent keeping in touch with the wind on a second hand Mistral windsurfer. I like the stability of the flying scot; I want to practice sailing through the colder months without getting my butt wet(I know - sheet in, right?). What boat models are similar to the scot, so I can make some comparisons and have some purchasing options?

The Flying Scot is a 19'' daysailer and a nice boat. The Lightning is an older design, also 19'' and fairly similar. I learned to sail on Lightnings on the Chesapeake a long time ago. It will actually plane in a really good wind, crew is 3, but can be single-handed. Easily trailered. Has a spinnaker. I liked it. There have been something like 13-14,000 Lightnings made, so there are a bunch out there.
