Make sure you take your sailing lessons during the spring so you will have a more challenging but rewarding experience.

Sailing Instruction is all about knowing your expectations and the instructor's style/personality. Everyone learns differently and a real pro will be able to tailor to your needs.
You may also want to check out:
SAIL SOLOMONS - Sailing instruction and charters in Solomons Island, Chesapeake Bay, news, courses and links.
Lisa and Andy are great.
That said, read everything you can and then get the hands on to make it stick.
The best test is "Am I having fun?"

Some of the specialized courses look fairly interesting: will certainly talk with this school. Want to start as early in the spring as possible.
