Thanks for asking. Ten miles of windward now 30/40 kts is more than I liked to push at.. Downwind is just a nice sail .Thane is a modified Spray and scoots pretty well .The 65 kts came up unannounced ( reported 112 kliks at Gonzales) Weather was no problem but the floating stuff was a bit much in the breaking conditions.Fortunately a bright sunny day. If I remember right, the Washington Lake bridge sank in the same wind. The 'insecure cargo' was a bunch of 5 gal cans of military surplus paint and mek and resins I didn't want to get wet and upwind is Spray you bet.
