Hey 80MNYC,

I'm in the same boat as you, new to NYC and it's (what I'm finding to be extensive) sailing community. Here are some options that I've found thus far, Google at will (can't yet post links):

New York Sailing School
Hudson River Community Sailing
Offshore Sailing School has a club based in Jersey
Manhattan Yacht/Sailing Club
SailNY - New York City's Community Sailing Association
Harlem Yacht Club

Let us know what else you find.

You also may want to look at SailorsNYC as another option.

Re: Boat Parnerships in/around NYC

Just wondering if anyone in the NYC area has any knowledge/experience of the SailTime operation at Pier 69? I was actively looking to purchase a boat but thought I might check some other options.

I am not sure but I have heard Sailtime was shutting down in NYC.

YamSailor, thanks for the response. I sent an e-mail to the informational site to see if there was a follow up to my request. No news yet…..
