Hi all, new to the NYC sailing community and wondering if anyone knows of yacht clubs in the area that offer boatshare programs. Thanks in advance!

Re: Boat Parnerships in/around NYC

Many yacht clubs are trying to entice new members with fleets of one-design boats that are shared. Often they offer "seasonal", "special", or "trial" memberships that include the use of these boats. Full members who also have access to the boats then get to meet you and see if they'd like to have you join. You get to try the boats and sse what kind of people belong to that club: win-win! Call the clubs that are convenient to you to find out what they might offer, or if they can point you to one that has such a program.

You might want to try Sailors NYC - The club for New Yorker Sailors - Affordable, Conveniently located

They just opened and are located at Pier 25 in Manhattan.

Look for "Ideal 18 Club Programs". Almost two dozen clubs in the metro area Ideal 18 boatshare programs.

Stuyvesant Yacht Club on City Island offers a "Sailing Associate" membership. It gives you unlimited access to some clun boats. I'm a little fuzzy as to what's there right now, but I think a Pearson 25 and a Rhodes 19 are among them.
