Dallas/Ft. Worth Sailing Help?

I live in North Dallas and just wanted to know if I could tag along with someone or if anyone knew of a school in the area on a local lake or something along those lines.

I am very interested in sailing and would like to cruise the oceans some day.

Thank you

Ok, I found a place called saildallas.com Basic Keelboat Sailing Certification is $1499. Does this sound like a good deal? Does anyone know of any cheaper alternatives?

Information about the certification:
This course qualifies for the National Association of Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) and the U.S. Coast Guard as a recognized Safe Boating Course. As such, it meets all requirements for mandatory education and licensing for every state in the United States. For boat owners, many insurance companies offer discounts for successful completion of a Safe Boater course.

Upon successful completion you will receive both the ASA & US SAILING Basic Keelboat Sailing Certification.

The course length is: Total of 24 hours: 4 hours in classroom seminar, 20 hours on the water (five different 4-hour sessions).
