Looking for live aboard DIY on the hard in Kemah area

OK I'm taking the plunge. Finally after months of delays and Murphy's law, it looks like this next month I can get out of here! Looking for a place to DIY a new paint job, and misc repair while living on the boat, Preferably in the kemah area. Prefedrrably some place that does not charge an arm and a leg that will let me be there for probably 2 months. Looked at the boat house. they have a limited stay so that wont work.
Need where you would suggest and why as well as places to avoid and why.
Thanks
Barb

I don't know of any in the Kemah area but if you head east to Port Arthur the boatyard at Pleasure Island might work with you depending on your boats size. I haven't found any east of that to New Orleans since Bridgepoint in Lake Charles quit pulling boats last year. I've never been south of Kemah on the water so no clue that way.

Re: Looking for live aboard DIY on the hard in Kemah area

Recently we are looking for cheapest Dry storage with DIY.

Boat is now at Miami and need to be move out, she is ready to sail, but we need half a year to finish our things before leaving for longer time.

I find in Florida cheapest marina (Green Cove Springs Marina) for $4.50/ft long term storage.

Does anybody know any alternative to this?
Thanks a lot!

No first hand experience - BUT when I asked the locals, this place was recommended as the cheapest haul and DIY space...
