I was more curious about the job, and liveaboard marina situation.
Especially the marina's , from reading this and other boards it seams finding a place to dock is getting harder by the minute. Less and less boat friendly towns. And the places that do welcome you have long waiting lists? Could a person just show up in a mid size town along the river or coast and find a slip and work? This is my primary concern, this life style is very apealling to me, seeing new places, exploring the natural beauty of our waterways, meeting interesting people, but I don't have the money to just keep going and not work. I am confident I can build the boat, I'm not worried about that. And as I stated I want to build more than one boat, and try different types. Starting very simple. eg... sharpie, or scow, maybe a crude multi like this
but maybe twice the size. So wich southern state for winter and wich northern for the summer, that is the question?
