nothing yet eh??
I've done quite a bit of searching and all I can come up with is people renting slips. All of the searching I've done was through the Boca News Classifieds section. I'm not sure if shorepower and shower facilities are available (I will need both). If anyone knows of anything other than the city docks that are on a 3 year wait list please let me know....

You might want to ask on the LivingAboard forum. Quite a few Floridians there.

I'm willing to travel 20 or so minutes....of course the closer the better but I'll have to take what I can find. I have friends in Key West so if anything south of Boca is better than north. As far as slip fee goes...I have no budget to stick to, I'll pay whatever it costs within that market. It will be like paying rent since I'll be a full time live aboard. The only thing is I have to have a shower and prefer laundry facilities. Shower and shore power mandatory, laundry I suppose I can travel to find if needed.

Most of our live aboard marinas have waiting lists, we have a few in central Palm Beach County. Going south in the IC you have inlet access issues as the Boca Inlet and the Hillsboro are quite treacherous and require local knowledge, currents are so strong an underpowered boat won't make it through... You can moor in certain areas of the Keys, just watch the environmentally sensitive areas. But if you require power then you need to decide where you want to go and probably get on their waiting list, unless you're real lucky.

Best!
