bob:we are going to be up that way this year my cousin lives at Pt. Pleasant,N.J.
I do not have a Krogen 38.I have an Embroden 32.No more yard work for me.Sandpaper and varnish,topsides paint,oily rags,anything except GRASS!!Life is constantly full of DECISIONS,DECISIONS!!!!!

Hi all,
I just purchased my first boat this past week and will start living onboard next month. It''s a Freya 39,ORIANA,(pictures on personnel page) She is a great ocean crusier. I do plan on living on her for the next three years and then sailing off to deep blue water.
Being a retired US NAVY and finally ending a short job as a bean counter, I do plan on sailing the rest of my life. I do have great health at 47 and plan to do this for 20 years. Let the fun begin......Hugh

I have been for years reading all the emails of sailors sailing off into the sunset. Well dam it it''s my turn and I am ready. Can''t seem to get the wife to see it this way but I know all good things must come to an end. It does hurt but my life and dream are also important.
Good luck and always looking for a good honest person to enjoy life together sailing the world.....

Counting down the days here... Ill be moving aboard in April or May, spending the summer stocking the kitty and doing refits, and hopefully getting underway this fall (next spring at the latest)

For now, at least, I wont be keeping a shoreside abode, although Im having the problem of what do do with the Stuff that wont fit aboard - Ive no problem with selling off most of my worldly goods, but Id hate to part with 2/3 of my books, and I know they wont all fit aboard.

I imagine Ill borrow storage space at my parent''s or sister''s, as Im intending to live aboard year-round for several years at least.

Bob: I spent a month on Barnegat last year... lovely areas; I want to sail it someday.

I am, I am. As a a cpt of ten years all I can really say is, "Anchor Out, get lots of chain,and only allow 3 pair of shoes per crew(woman)

Follow your dream. I was outfitting my boat for singlehanding when I met a woman who fell for it too. We married, and she wanted to live aboard and cruise. We had a great time for awhile, her and her 15 year old daughter, but after we tied up in marina to work for awhile, she walked out on me one day while I was at work. I haven''t seen her since. I sailed back to my home port. It was a broken dream, but I am sailing again, and I will do it with or without a woman.

I liveaboard my Tanzer 7.5 (summer''s only so far) on the Hudson River (NY Capital District). I have everything I need (except a female sailing companion - any sailing females interested?) aboard and will retire this year and sail the boat to FL so I can liveaboard year-round.

I realy enjoy the freedom to just up and cruise anytime I want and drop the hook anyplace I take a fancy too. Just Do It!
