Interestingly, Wilmington is becomming the "Hollywood" of the east coast. Several TV shows and movies made there by Screene Jems. If you Google it, you can find out more than you may want to know.. ;-)

Sadly, I'm not a Hollywood actor.

Are ther other cities in the South you've lived-aboard? I'm currently in Portland, Oregon living aboard and we are considering relocating to the Gulf Coast next spring/summer.

The Gulf Coast is one hot, humid, and stormy place in the summer...

I know, I grew up 40 miles north of Tampa. I spent 27 years in the South. I'm just doing a little data recon. I wasn't much into sailing as a kid and I haven't been back in a number of years. I'm ready to be home for a while and would appreciate anything marina related.

Hello, I used to be a live a board in the Carolina Beach area of NC (near Wilmington),,,we were told to move out when marina changed hands to development company...as a whole, very few new marinas allow live a boards in New hanover county..however there are still a few, one is Masonboro boat yard and another is Bennet Brothers marina in Wilmington on the Cape Fear river (this is a very nice marina) hope this helps//
