Critters aboard

I recently had a stowaway. In the Royal Navy they called 'em millers, and ate 'em. Given the hard times of late, wondering if I shouldn't have popped this boy in the freezer.

Priceless!

Sheena ^^ (my Ferret) is hungry now :)

Actually, he did present me with a moral dilemma: I dislike killing things, but if I just turned him loose nearby or on the dock, my poo-spewing neighbors might reasonably take exception. So I relied on the tried and true trial-by-ordeal and put it in the hands of God. I flipped him in the drink and last I saw he was headed out into the harbour...

BTW, keep a close eye on that cute chap, MacGyverRI. My daughter recently lost her sweet ferret, Chipdip. They have a way of disappearing.

Just out of curiosity, HoffaLives. How did you find out he was there and how did you catch him? (I thought they are hard to get rid of).
And, sorry about my english, what does "flipped him in the drink" mean"?

AjariBonten 11-15-2007 01:57 PM

Hoffa, You threw him in THAT water???????????

Reference the Poo thread ..... http://www.sailnet.com/forums/general-discussion-sailing-related/38476-poo-isnt-so-bad.html

Poor little guy!

BTW, there was a very good article on rodents, prevention, and removal in Cruising World or Sail.. August or September I think. If I can find it I'll post it to you.

If rats can survive living in sewers and toxic landfills, that little critter was right at home in Hoffa's marina water.
