LOL... well said..but you're speaking from a parent's perspective, and given that you're looking at looming wedding costs... your opinion may be just a bit biased. Mind you, I'm not disagreeing with you in any way...since what you say is completely accurate... but still.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

We are renting out half our house this year, then moving aboard over next winter, and then renting out the bottom half. So we'll have two pairs of tenants, but we'll be "down the road by the water" if needed, which should help to determine if they're the right tenants.

After we go cruising, I will either pay my sister or a professional agency to collect the rent and arrange for repair services. If there's a leaky tap, I don't want to hear about it in Fiji.

I have two homes one behind the other...Im Hoping to rent one to the girls if they want in and the other to some other woman horse owner...That way they will be around to keep an eye on everything and call for repairs and whatnot...leaving mom and I free for the most part unless its major of course...

Thats still 8 years away though so you guys will just have to put up with me till then...

Shoot by then I might have as many posts as SD does now.....NOT...
