THe assumption is that cost is a factor. I bought a 37 Irwin CC cutter rigged with center board. I paid 18.5 and added $1500. She is not fast, heals a lot, but is a motel on the water. Huge water tank, fuel tank, diesel, two cabins, good gally, lots of leaks, and was the party boat at the marina cause of the size. Irwins are not the best boat built but for the money, they are the Chevrolet''s of the water. Email me if you would like to know anything else about boats.

Yes, it was in production during the 70''s and appears to have used the same hull plug as the later 424 and 422. However, the deck mold was entirely different, ugly as sin (apologies to those who will be offended...) and the level of finish was far lower than the other two designs mentioned.
