Insulation

Was wondering if anyone has tried using a bubble wrap type material for insulation? I was thinking about about a boat cover over the bubble wrap type material thinking the air would hold the daytime heat. Certainly not the mor efficient, but just a thought.
Also, has anyone used Armaflex? Seems like a good product.
