liveaboard marinas in mid hudson river valley?

Hello I am looking for a quiet place to live on the Hudson river. It looks like West Havastraw is the only spot that has in water durring the winter. For the summer i want to be closer to the kids and work in Newburgh. Any ideas? I like the roundout creek but that is a bit far. Newburg landing is expensive and not very famiy oriented.
