Many sailors move to trawlers as they get older, you're just skipping ahead maybe.

So you mean to say you've NEVER sailed a boat? Ever been on a sailboat?

Don't trawlers have steadying sails on them?

The best minds discuss sailing (and a little bit of politics). I don't know why. It's a mystery!

Let me just say that if it weren't for the V Berth on a Catalina 27, I wouldn't be a proud papa today!

Huzzah!

The C27 is definitely a first-class spoink-shack.

Re: Living aboard - and sex

I don't think any of my marina neighbors have ever noticed our onboard activities. However, there was one early Saturday morning when I was still dating this rather tall girl who decided things would be more comfortable if she just sat up with her head sticking out of the forward hatch.

That was working great until the old guy who walked the dock for exercise every morning showed up and decided to stop and have a 5-minute conversation with her.

When my wife was going on her first sailing date with me, an older woman warned her to watch out because "things happen on a boat".... :-)
