Women Living Aboard Alone

I know there are lots of guys out there sailing and living aboard alone. How about the ladies?

If anyone would care to share experiences here on this board, or correspond via email, I''d certainly like to hear what you have to say.

Wildheart,

Don''t know if you have heard of her but there is a Sailnet contributing author named Tania Aebia who sailed around the world, alone on a Contessa 26. She now does charters in Greece and probably has an email address on here for correspondence.

Sorry about that her last name is Aebi (Tania Aebi). BTW she did this "around alone" when she was 18 - 21

Wildheart:

I''d encourage you to explore the Women Aboard group that''s in your area, as it would seem they offer exactly what you''re looking for and a lot more.

http://www.womenaboard.com/
Their stated goal is "To enhance the boating experience for ALL women aboard through information, education, camaraderie and support."

You''re looking for a small subset of of a small subset of sailors (liveaboard women) but may still find much of value from other women in this group, as well. And the newsletter is nicely done.
