Sailingdog,
How long are you planning to be afloat to and from the BVIs on your tri?
Not planning a trip to the BVIs ATM... but for as long as possible is the answer to the rest of the question...

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

The wife and I live on our 77 S&S 36. We are new to it, but love it. Staying at a marina while we make improvements to start our big cruise. Keep a truck with a camper as our crawl in closet, and we have a tiny storage room to keep musical intruments and temp sensitive items. Eventually will sell it all off and be on the run.

My wife and I live aboard and cruise the East Coast and Caribbean. Our boat is a Valiant 40, and she's been completely comfortable and safe for the eight years we've lived on her.
