Re: Liveaboard in Seattle or Puget sound area?

I lived at Shilshole for a year. At the time it was more due to the high cost of living in Seattle not because I thought it was cool. I liked it but it cost about the same as my half for my apartment with my girlfriend which obviously was more space and more comfortable for her. I prefer the simple liveaboard lifestyle but she doesn't. Compared to Seattle apartment and home costs it's doable for guy. I have lived aboard on Lake Superior as well and preferred it overall, more quiet and serene with far less yuppie boat owner types and more actual sailors. Shilshole like most big city marinas always reminded me of a floating trailer park but for rich people and with communal showers.
That said, I'll probably end up back on the Sound some day.
