JWBernal,

Afterthinking about your post some more, I realized that maybe i wasn''t showing you the fine Southern hospitality that I was taught. I should''ve invited you to dinner and maybe some nice Southern event or taken you shopping, but I grew up in a small rural town in NC and I am worried that you probably would not enjoy the same tastes in those things that I would...do you like sushi, fine wine, wonderful outdoor concerts by the Symphony, and shopping in very secluded venues for classics made by talented artists? Maybe you can think about it while you spend the afternoon at Walmart....

Kokopuff,

Your post made me remember a line from an Alan Jackson song that goes something like:
"I like my sushi southern fried."

That''s it for a Friday night. Sleep tight, y''all.

I''m planning to sail down from the Chesapeake Bay this fall, enter NC by way of the Oregon Inlet. Can anyone provide local knowledge for this inlet? All the books say not to do this without local knowledge but I''ve not always found this to be true of other inlets.

Thanks,

Bill

Bill,

If you will sign up for the SE list on Sailnet and then submit your question you will probably get more info than you can imagine...there are a lot of active sailors on that list and they love to be helpful! many are on the NC coast.
