Liveaboard marinas in St Thomas

Looking for a marina to stay for most of this coming winter while my mate recovers from having her knee replaced. Any susgestions? Been looking at some of the ones on line that are in the Red Hook area but it's hard to judge them from their web sites. Any cruisers out there that have stayed in marinas long term that could give us some input as to comfort, things to do, price, internet connections would be a big help.

Well the marina in Benner Bay is the friendliest, funkiest and possibly the least expesive in St Thomas.

Suggest you look at Compass Point, in between Red Hook and Budget Marine

I'm pretty sure that the marina at Saphire are dockominiums, owned by their tenants. I know at least some are.

I can't help with specific recommendations, but I would be surprised if you could not live aboard for the winter at any marina in the USVI or BVI. That's a pretty common plan.
