Question San Diego

I am currently interviewing for a position which will require me to relocate to San Diego. I would like some current information on live aboard slip availability and cost. I've heard there are some moorings available occasionally as well, but not if they are live aboard locations (i.e. support with parking and amenities on land, place for dingy docking). I've not purchased the boat but am looking in the 39'-45' range and have seen a couple interesting possibilities. I currently sail a 33 Hunter which would be sold/traded prior to moving. I've sailed in Florida and the Bahamas for a few years and expect that the cruising will be different there on the west coast.
