Question Point Judith

Any transient moorings available in Point Judith Harbor?

I prefer a mooring to a slip. Also I might be leaving my boat alone for a night so I'm not sure I want to leave her unattended in an anchorage.

I'm gonna be there for a few days Aug 9th -13th or so.

I don't remember any moorings at Point Judith, I could be wrong. I'll check my charts in a bit and let you know.

Talking

Thanks for that link, but I looked there already. I can't find anything online.
I was hoping for some local knowledge or maybe even someone with a
private mooring I could rent for a few days.
I really don't want to be in a slip if I can avoid it. Us mooring dwellers get spoiled.... No bugs, all that cool breeze and privacy

Looked at my charts and there are no moorings listed. I've been there and don't remember any, we anchor out at the refuge, it's out side of the entrance of the harbor.

Thanks for those reply. There are mooring farther north at the top of the harbor. One marina lists moorings, but when I called, they stated the don't offer transient moorings.

Oh well, maybe I'll just anchor our farther north in the harbor or try and call the harbor master.

Thanks again!!

I don't think there are any moorings available there.

rikhall will become famous soon enough
We went way in and back between two little islands for some very nice and protected anchoring. Very peaceful.

We anchored at 41 deg, 24' 18.36" N and 71 deg, 30' 22.49" W
