Batten down the hatches

Looks like we may just get brushed here on the Chesapeake while you guys get some serious weather. Weather buoys off of hatteras looking fearsome.

To all my firends in my favorite place to sail toevery summer ...... BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES...get the pitchers ready for the Dark and Stormys.

Stay safe,

Dave

Hi Dave,

My boat is as ready as it's going to get.

Looks like Earl is moving further east, so it won't be so bad.

How was your trip to the north east?

Barry

Turned out to be a non-event. I'm going to work harder bending on sail today in the fresh NW.

Total non-event... It looks like the cold front that hit Earl, TKO'd Earl.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
