Places to shop for a family daysailer

Is there anywhere in southern CT that sells daysailers?

Looking for something:
-18 feet or less
-easily trailered and rigged
-dry, stable ride (not a Laser or race boat)
-enough room for 3-4 adults
-main+jib
-under $10k

Thanks

Go sailing now my brother,
It's later than you think.

X2 for Sailboatlistings.com or Craigslist --- its not uncommon to see Rhodes 19's on Craigslist -- sounds like that would be a good match based on your criteria

adhuntr (craigslist, only national)...
My personal favorite on our coast... is sailboatshop.com unfortunately they moved all their boats for sale to facebook.

"Rum Line" an S2 7.9 - cheap, fast, trailerable, and paid for.

I second Islandskipper's recommendation re Rhodes 19,
seems fits all your criteria except size, come in both keel
and centerboard models, many around as is popular boat,
which will serve you well when you are ready to move up.

If not overnighting, a used Flying Scot would fit that pretty well. Huge cockpit.

Believe it or not, we slept a family of 5 on our Flying Scot when I was kid.

2 boys up under the bow (I was one of them), mom and dad on either side of the centerboard trunk, and my younger brother across the stern.

Can't say I would recommend it, and we only did it once.

Try the Boat Locker in Westport. Besides selling a variety of craft new, they have a used boat exchange event in the spring that might suit you well. Longshore Sailing School (also in Westport) sells off their "not new" boats at reasonable prices too.
