Exclamation Companionship Forum Rules...

The purpose of this forum is for people who both have a love for sailing and cruising to see if they can find another who shares their passion and would like to spend time together. The rules here, which are subject to change (and likely will change) without warning are as follows:

You must be 18 or older.

I don't care if you post pics, but they better be no worse than PG-13.

Keep it civil, everyone. There is no need to make fun of someone who is looking for a "date" here. It can't be easy to post those things. On the flip side, those guys/gals who are a bit screwy, don't be surprised if some of us call into question your intentions.

Girls (and guys): A word from dad here - Hopping on a boat and sailing off with someone is not something to be taken lightly. Boats easily get out of the sight of land and beyond the range of VHF or cell phones.... and there is no hopping off at sea. Be cautious about who you give your name to and who you converse with, but be VERY cautious about going to sea with anyone before really getting to know them AND their seamanship abilities. I won't pretend to be an expert here, but I would certainly want to meet their friends/family before embarking on such an adventure.

To any would-be wierdos: We can and do track your IP's here. The police can take those IP's right down to the house it came from. Anyone using an untraceable IP or offsite proxy server will be off of SN as soon as I catch you, and remember I have no problem turning over your information to the authorities. I have done it before and will do it again if necessary. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

If this forum gets abused, it will disappear. SO lets keep it courteous and remember why it is here.
