Just got a new tiller from a place called Idasalior -www.idasalior.com- mine was a custom job and they did a great job but I know they stock a lot of production boat tillers

Lowes sells a wooden post hole digger handle for less than $10 which fits perfectly and is the correct length. I coated mine with a couple coats of spare urethane and it looks great.

My 26S loves the tiller I got from IDA Sailor --much nicer than the stock tiller.
