vent 222 lock bolt

I recently bought a 1978 venture 222 in pretty good shape that came withe the original manual that talked about a lock bolt for the keel but I could not find it nor a place to put it logic tells me it should forward of the piviot bolt but I am not finding it. I have just been sailing it unlocked with no problems but would like to know if I am ever in bigger water. thank

I have a mac 25. It has a keel lock bolt, I believe it is below the pivot bolt. It should be obvious to you if you look in the bilge area and see a hole with no fastener in it. Those of us with swing keels are about 50/50 on whether to lock it or not. So far I have not.

My lock bolt is above and forward of the pivot bolt. Both are the same size(7/16 or 1/2 not sure) but you can only access the nut for the lock bolt.
I always have it pinned while under sail.

thanks guys I was able to find it there was a white plug in it but I think that I am going to go with the dont use it crowd anyhow as I have inadvertantly used the keel as a depth finder a few times already.
