1969 venture 24

Looking for Kick up rudder other than the Ida sailor..any suggestions.

The only other option is to build your own, as in Tom Stockwell's design. I did it & it worked OK for me, but Tom says he broke one of his rudders and should be built stronger.

How does the Venture 24 compare with the Mac 25? Do you know if the keel is interchangable?

Hi guys. Brian, question... "Tom Stockwell's Design"

Can you elaborate please?

I am picking up a 1979 Venture 25 on Saturday. The rudder is a "repaired rudder". Someone did a repair job on the rudder after was apparently sheered off. They "stuck it together" with some kind of glue and then built a metal strengthening bracket and bolted through it.

I want to build something. I was thinking about a kick-up type or something.

I have same problem but I have a blade from Tom's deaign but no upper. Does any one have specs for a top?
