mac 25 keel

Howdy there, I recently bought a mac 25 and its keel is really stiff on getting it up and down. I think that its the cracking system with the gearing and the handle area but I don't know what the keel really looks like from undreneith. Also is there anyway to look at the keel from inside the boat? Can you open any hatches in the floor or does any part of hte floor come up to get to the bottom of the boat?

Any info on the keel would bvery helpful.

Steve
