Re: macgregor or not to macgregor - lake michigan

This thread is from March and the original poster hasn't been back since March 10th. The Mac 26X & 26M power sailors are a boat ya love or hate. Most haters have never owned one. Our first sailboat was a Mac 26M. Great for inland lakes and coastal cruising along Lake Michigan shoreline. It has a great price point for people getting into sailing.

It is a very tender boat and doesn't ride very comfortably on Lake Michigan when the wind and waves are up. The Admiral gave it a year and a half before she told me it was time for a bigger boat.
