mac venture 21 part may be missing

I have yet to ever see a 1974 mac venture picture with the boom vang rigging running from under the boom to the bottom of the mast. But I have two connections on my mast and boom that looks like what it should be for, ( to connect the block and tackle and lines). It would seem that the boom would be held at the aft by the control line. Anyone have info or pictures of what the mac V 21 looked like originally. Thanks

My V22 has a boom vang set up, but I am not sure if it was a factory standard/option. There is all the rigging available here: if you ever need Macgregor parts this is the place: BWY Parts List
