Bamboo Planking

Hi everyone, I recently made this video for a project replacing my hull boards and headliners with bamboo planks. It came out very nice. Let me know what you think.

Re: Bamboo Planking

Looks good. Not quite the look I would have gone for, but good nonetheless.

One question: I've used bamboo plywood for a couple of projects (around the house, not on the boat). I found that in that context bamboo was both heavy as hell and dulled saw blades and router bits like nothing else I've ever come across. Of course, bamboo plywood is a bit different from the sort of planks you used. But did you find it to be inordinately heavy and/or tool dulling?

Never forget them. Do something to prevent it from happening again.

Re: Bamboo Planking

Certainly no added flotation from that project! those bamboo boards actually sink!

Good job on the planking and thought the video and narration were well done.
